Still here!

Been filming recently but haven't been out at all for about a week and a half due to awfull weather, apparently they I'm filming wants the sun to be shining I'm every shot. Zzzzzz, how boring.

What fascinates me about photography and film is how one moment cam capture so much mote than a smile, I live shooting film in the rain because of the effect you can get through water droplets in slow motion...
Oh darn, I've set myself off I need to go edit.

Rain...

After a ling day at work I felt I deserved a nice long ride out on the mountain bike, nothing massive, just a 15 mile ride across the fields and through the forests in the local area, but it rained.
In the end I thought I may aswell go for it, so I did, and it was the best ride this spring so far.
Proper wet, proper muddy, proper ride!

Wolf run...

This here is the nicest ski cross course i think i may ever ski....
        During a recent trip to Whiteface mountain, NY, i came across this gnarly supper flowing run,it was like skiing on a cloud, taking off from one lip then landing smoothly on the next, if you don't ski imagine when you jump up some stairs and you just carry on walking it's sort of like that.
going back to the point, this run was incredible and biggups to the crew at whiteface for making it so smooth, i've never been so entranced in my life whilst skiing...

Just applied to become a GoPro affiliate , not sure what this means to be honest, to do with advertising i believe, could do with a nifty little camera so might have to fork out and buy one for all of your entertainment, or something like that.
anyway just thought I'd would inform you that the first preview of my friend Max's edit will be coming out later this month, if i have time to start editing it, but for now i will leave you with this beautifull clip from GoPro themselves

Smartphones

As you may have gathered I am new to all this social networking stuff, apart from Facebook, and by starting to use it within a few hours my view on my own daily life has changed.
I have always just assumed that the people who use Twitter are either celebs, jurnalists looking for a cheap story or just obsessed teens stalking the latest boy band....
However, I was wrong. It seems that the majority of people who use Twitter are people who run largely scheduled lives and actually have little time in the day to speak to close friends, Therefore it is the perfect platform to quickly keep people up to date with what you are doing or have done over the day, and with most people in the modern world now owning a smart phone you can message all if your contacts quickly without having to faph around texting everyone.
It also seems that it is used by large organizations such as @gopro who use it to promote events and anounce the winners of the daily competition...

Twitter

Just hit twitter, been wondering what all the fuss is about for years, but it really is quite a brilliant creation, the idea of just being able to follow the people you hear about in your daily life but not have to give away to much is just incredible.

i like the fact that there is a limit to how much you are allowed to write in one tweet, rather the than how in Facebook where you can waffle on for hours on end and continue on after you have reached your limit in the comment boxes, i still haven't got to grips with it yet but if you would care to follow the page @junkielifeuk it would be much appreciated :)

We have arrived...

well, after a long day of looking around for a blogging site it turn out this is the best one, possibly...
it figure this is the one that allows you to view more, edit more and then place ads... any views on this would be appreciated :)

Anyway, i have decided to use a blog as a way of showing and sort of keeping my mind on what i want to do over the summer. hopefully this will include: mountain biking, surfing, hikes in the mountains, scrambling and other such activities. any way to start off the blog, the picture above was taken during a filming trip in Yorkshire for an upcoming edit due out at the end of the summer.
